One great way to familiarize yourself with Linkinus' features is to go through the preference panes and look at all the options available. Alternatively, you can post your question on our forums or come to our IRC channel (we try to have someone available to answer questions most of the time, but we can't always be there).

Absolutely! Feel free to send us an e-mail by using our contact form, or simply drop by our IRC channel to chat with us. Please note that while we make every effort to answer all of our e-mail in a timely fashion, it may take up to 48 hours to receive a reply.

There are three options: The first is to just wait! Linkinus will check for updates every 12 hours or so and let you download and install the latest version in just two clicks! Second, you can go to the Linkinus menu and select "Check for Updates..." to perform a manual check. Third, you can download the latest release from Linkinus.com and simply replace your current version.

When you buy Linkinus you receive free 1.x updates. When 2.0 is released, there will be a discounted upgrade fee for 1.x license holders. You can install Linkinus on as many computers as you like within the licensed household or business, as long as you only use one copy at a time.

Your license should arrive within 24 hours after the funds have been transferred. For those who pay with a PayPal e-check, your license will be sent within 24 hours of the check clearing.

Yes. You are free to install Linkinus on any number of computers within the licensed household or business, but only one copy may be running at a time. If you would like to use more than one copy of Linkinus simultaneously, please purchase additional licenses. Volume discounts are available, just contact us and we'd be glad to work with you!

We are unable to provide refunds. A 15 day trial is provided to allow you to test-drive the software and decide if you'd like to purchase it. If you are unhappy with Linkinus after purchasing it, feel free to let us know if there's a bug that's causing you a problem, or a feature you'd like added. We can't promise anything, but we'll try to do what we can!

The easiest way to send a file is to drag & drop it on the desired user in the userlist or a query window. You can also use the User menu or control- or right-click menu and choose "Send File (DCC)...". A dialog will ask you to browse your computer and select which file(s) to send.

There are several ways. You can change the way the chat itself looks by selecting one of the included styles, or you can create your own using the Linkinus Style SDK. There are also color preferences for most of the UI, including gradient options for the Window chrome, central banner, and color options for nicks, backgrounds, and more!

Beyond the visual look of the program you can also install or create various AppleScripts or plugins to expand Linkinus' functionality to meet almost any requirements you have!

Simply go to Preferences... → Styles and choose the size of the font from the dropdown menu. You can adjust the font size from 6pt to 24pt.

Yes! Linkinus styles use HTML and CSS to format the chat, much like Adium. You can use the Linkinus Style SDK to modify a style, or you can control- or right-click a style in the Finder, choose "Show Package Contents," and find the main.css file in the Resources folder and edit it with your favorite text editor.

Simply click and drag the three vertical lines on either side of the central banner.

Absolutely! Simply right-click the text box, then go to Font → Show Fonts, at which point you can set the font size to be anysize that suits your fancy.

Linkinus includes the Growl installer and will prompt you to automatically install it when you run Linkinus for the first time. If you decline, and decide to install it at a later date, you can simply visit the Growl website and download and install it from there!

There is no limit to the number of servers you can connect to. Please note, however, that the more servers and channels you're connected to, the more RAM and CPU cycles Linkinus will consume.
